My biggest motivation is to keep challenging myself

After the Himalayan trip I admitted I had missed two years of targets by underestimating myself. Being a serial entrepreneur is harder than a bio makes it sound.

After the Himalayan trip, i.e 29-30th September 2017, I started thinking that the rate I am hitting my targets is somehow slower. To be honest, I failed to achieve some of my targets for the previous 2 years. It seemed like I had underestimated myself and my capabilities. I started questioning myself whether I am utilizing myself fully. And it became the motivation to me as I challenged myself!

In last 2 and half months, I worked like crazy. I worked close to 12 hours a day (excluding the time I spent on the meetings and other offline work as RescueTime doesn’t calculate all these stuff) without taking even single day gap. Screenshots attached in the comments below. Trust me, being a serial entrepreneur is not that easy as adding it in your bio or about section.

I learned a bunch of lessons in this period and now I am a bit closer to few of my targets. But, everything comes with its own cons. I followed a completely random routine in this period, no fixed time of waking up, no fixed time for breakfast etc. I missed hitting the gym regularly, missed mediation on quite a few days, haven’t spent time with friends, missed few treks and last but not least I lost some weight, that will take another quarter of a year to get back in shape. I would not recommend following what I did in last 2 and a half months, even though it helped me at some levels. Know thy limits!

Whatever your targets may be, split them into short-term goals and try to achieve those short-term goals which will eventually lead to achieve your target. After hitting each goal think about your strategy and analyze if it is leading you towards your final target. This way you will get to know where you’re actually lagging and you can fix the damage (if any) before it’s too late.

Just a few more days and this year will end. Don’t forget to spend time with your family, loved ones, and friends. Stay safe and be happy! All the best for the new year and for your plans for 2018. I hope you will achieve what you want in 2018 (y)
