I do not have time is an excuse, not a reason
The excuse I hear most from friends is that there is no time. The transformation people noticed after two years, and the honest accounting of hours behind it.
Whenever I meet friends I am tired of listening to this: “I want to do this, I want to do that, I want to do so many things but you know what? I don’t have time”. In my honest opinion, “I do not have time” is a lame excuse.
Recently, I met someone after two years and when he saw me he immediately said, what a transformation, since how long have you been hitting the gym? I replied that it’s been four continuous years. I asked him what about you, do you exercise or not? As he is studying for MBBS, I was expecting him to give dedicated time for his health, but sadly this is not a case with many medical students. They think that if they know the cure then why should they worry :D. I asked him as to why doesn’t he exercise? He said that he doesn’t have a time. I continued asking how many hours do you sleep, 5 hours or 6 hours? I thought like he is such a busy person he must be sleeping for only 5-6 hours a day. He said, no I sleep for at least 7 hours a day. Then I smiled and replied that see if you really want to do it you will somehow find a way, otherwise you will give an excuse. They say, “if there is will, there is a way”.
These days, lack of time, traffic (for coming late) and GST (for delaying payments) seem to be good excuses for many people.
If you are not healthy, let alone your dreams, how will you experience the basic aspect of your life? To become a healthy person (I am referring physical health here) you must exercise and take a balanced diet. More than exercise, what you eat is more important in my views.
It’s really sad, people consider eating as an ordinary or source of comfort or entertainment. They don’t understand that it’s a fuel for their systems to work. Suppose you own a Ferrari car, will you consider using kerosene or any fuel that contains lead? No, obviously not, you will use premium unleaded gasoline so that it will run with its maximum potential, right? Do you think the same for your body? It’s much more valuable than Ferrari or any other premium cars. How much do you value your body is the question that you should ask yourself. Or should you get it once you get a severe heart attack or any other disease and you get admitted to the hospital? The choice is yours, you need to think about this now, not tomorrow. People just talk about dieting but actual actions are much more important than talking. Be serious about what food you eat, always remember it’s a fuel for your system. Now whether it is kerosene or premium unleaded gasoline is your choice ;)
Don’t ignore your health, take a balanced diet and workout for at least 20-30 minutes five times a week. It’s an investment for yourself, thank me later. Don’t give the fuc*ing excuse that you don’t have time, if you don’t have time for yourself then you must be living someone else’s life. Don’t ever do that: it’s your life, nurture it.
TL;DR
Health is wealth so exercise daily and take a balanced diet.
PS: On the occasion of Teachers Day, I want to express my gratitude towards my family, my gurus, friends, business partners, colleagues and everyone else whom I met or talked to. I learned something from everyone. I want to say thanks to everyone for always being there and helping me to achieve everything that I want. Thanks, thanks a ton 🙏
